CSK Vs Delhi Dream11 Match Preview
Chennai Super Kings will take on Delhi Capitals in the second league match of IPL 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both teams will be looking for a good start to the new IPL season. Delhi Capitals lost in the final last season and they will miss the services of captain Shreyas Iyer this season. Meanwhile, CSK have made some good additions to their squad and they will hope to put last season’s disappointing performance behind them.
Team News Of Both Teams
Delhi: The opening pair of Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan offers the perfect blend of experience and youth for Delhi at the top of order. Skipper Rishabh Pant is in the form of his life while Marcus Stoinis will be the leading all-rounder for the side. But Capitals will miss the services of Anrich Nortje and Kagiso Rabada in this game owing to the mandatory quarantine.
Chennai: New signing Jason Behrendorff will not be available for selection for the first two matches owing to the mandatory quarantine requirements. In addition, South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi also won’t feature in the first match after joining the team late owing to his international commitments. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has just recovered from the injury and will be available for this game.
Wankhede is one of the highest-scoring venues in the IPL. Although the average first innings score in 2019 was 176, teams have scored well above 200 on several occasions. The pacers should get some swing and extra bounce early on, with the ball expected to skid on nicely to the bat. The dimensions of the ground also favor the batsmen, making for good batting conditions.
Dew should play a role later on in the day. Spinners might not get much turn off the surface, with change of pace being key on this surface.
